Mac game publisher
has noted the release of a new version of Rogue Spear. The new build, version 1.0.2, is now
ready for download
from MacSoft’s parent company Infogrames.
Rogue Spear is a 3D action/strategy game that puts you in the role of the leader of an elite counterterrorist organization. Developed originally by Red Storm Interactive, Rogue Spear is the follow-up to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. The game is unlike a traditional shooter, because players have to heavily rely upon organizational and strategic capabilities to win. You select the members of your team, outfit them, plan your operation and then execute it in real-time 3D.
Some months ago MacSoft offered a 1.0.1 update to Rogue Spear. The publisher noted that this new 1.0.2 updater requires the 1.0.1 version in order to work. If you have not updated Rogue Spear to 1.0.1, you must do so before applying this update.
Changes in the 1.0.2 version include:
Fixed problem with crashes in Ruined City multiplayer map.
Fixed problem when using random maps in multiplayer.
Added “Use Packed Pixels” option to RS Utility. It’s possible that while using an ATI Radeon card that some text in the game will be truncated. Turning off this option should fix that problem, but at the cost of significantly increasing the amount of memory used by the game.
