WebEvent, the folks who offer Web-based calendaring and scheduling applications, have released WebEvent Publish, a scalable calendar tool designed to let organizations publicize event information to an unlimited audience.
WebEvent Publish allows site visitors to quickly find relevant information and simplifies the administrator’s task of keeping vast numbers of events up-to-date, according to James Cameron, CEO, president and founder of WebEvent. The product runs on all major operating systems (including the Mac), and offers full source code access.
WebEvent Publish offers the added flexibility of creating custom event fields, filtering events by custom category and supporting multiple time zones to accommodate worldwide audiences, Cameron said. What’s more, since WebEvent Publish supports cascading style sheets (CSS), administrators can modify the look and feel of the calendars to integrate with their existing Web sites.
WebEvent Publish is available directly from WebEvent. Pricing begins at US$700, with discounts available to non-profit, reseller and large-volume customers. The company also makes WebEvent 4.0, an online calendaring and scheduling solution. The solution — which runs on Mac, Windows and Unix servers — is available directly from WebEvent, with pricing starting at US$200.
