MWSF will be held Jan. 7-11 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The Macworld/Pro and Macworld/Users Conferences of MWSF will present over 120 sessions that take you deep inside the software and hardware tools of the Mac platform, according to Paul Kent, conference chairperson. The Macworld/Power Tools Conferences offer the chance to spend two full days immersed in training on Mac products and applications such as Photoshop, FileMaker Pro or Final Cut Pro.
As an added bonus, conference attendees are invited to attend the feature presentation, “This ain’t your parents’ Mac: The Present and Future of the Mac Platform” on the morning of Jan. 9. Industry experts, Rick LePage of Macworld, Tim Bajarin of Creative Strategies, Inc., Bob “Dr. Mac” LeVitus, and David Pogue will offer an overview of the state of the Mac platform and where it’s heading.
QuickTime Live! 2002
is slated for Feb. 11-14, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, CA. The conference will feature keynotes, full-day workshops, breakout sessions and a product showcase featuring the latest development tools based on QuickTime technology.
QuickTime Live! attendees will learn how to implement and manage the entire streaming media creation and distribution process. The conference will include beginner and advanced tracks on authoring, editing and streaming content via QuickTime. Individual sessions will be targeted to both content providers and streaming media developers, and offer hands-on experience on digital media editing tools, QuickTime interactive movie creation, QuickTime VR and QuickTime for Java.
