Blue World Communications Inc. has announced price reductions on its Lasso product line. Based on Blue World’s “Web Data Engine” technology, Lasso products enable Web developers and designers to create data-drive Web sites.
Blue World has taken US$200 off the prices for Lasso, lowering Lasso Studio 6 to $299 and Lasso Professional 6 to $999. The permanent price drops are the same as the prices that Blue World offered in a special promotion that ended yesterday.
Blue World CEO Bill Doerrfeld said that the new pricing will help more cash-strapped Web developers get on the Lasso bandwagon. “Every day more and more Web developers discover the productivity benefits of using Lasso products. The enhanced productivity offered via Lasso products helps them save time and money,” he added.
Lasso products are available online and through authorized resellers.
in related news, Blue World also announced today that Fusebox, a framework for developing Web applications, is now supported on the Lasso platform. The new LassoFusebox technology makes it possible for Web developers to migrate Fusebox-compliant solutions to Web application servers like ColdFusion, PHP, JSP and ASP. In addition to being a Web application framework, Fusebox is also a development methodology of best practices to address problems like complexity, redundancy and code maintenance.
The Lasso edition of Fusebox was developed by Michael S. McKellip and Rich Tretola of
LassoFusebox.org. More info and downloads are available at the Web site.
