Asiva Photo 1.02 for Mac OS X is now shipping from the Shapiro Consulting Group (SCGI).
Asiva Photo applies enhancements in three-dimensional space over a two-dimensional image. Roland Lee, vice president of marketing for SCGI, said that this results in the ability to make fine gradations of corrections only where they are needed. Asiva Photo also incorporates tools to let users soften and sharpen objects, increase saturation, brighten or darken areas and create new kinds of special effects.
The program renders images in low-res representations, enabling users to see changes much more quickly than they could if the source, high-res image was being changed. The software utilizes Apple’s ColorSync technology to maintain color consistency from input to editing to output.
“We are very excited about this release because, based on valuable feedback from our users, we have added a few additional features like a Color Info Window and improved some of the screen rendering functions,” Lee said.
The new version will be available as a free upgrade to all registered users of Asiva Photo 1.0. For more info and a free demo go to the product Web site.
