Apple today released an update for its Mac OS 9 Authoring Support, bringing the latest version to 1.1.5.
The update fixes some issues for ISO burns using iTunes and DiscBurner, as well as adding support for new CD-R drives. Apple explains that CD-R drive manufacturers often use several different mechanisms in the same CD-R product. The following drive models and mechanisms are the only new combinations tested by Apple: Sony CRX-1650L-A2 (Mechanism CRX-1611); Sony Digital Relay (Mechanism CRX-1611); and the Sony Spressa Professional 10x4x32x (Mechanism CRX145E).
Apple noted that the list might change; for the latest information, check the Apple CD-R Compatibility Web site.
The update can be downloaded from Apple’s Web site.
