Tonight’s featured guest on The Mac Show, the Internet radio show about all things Mac, will be Leo Laporte, host of The Screensavers on TechTV. A big fan of the Mac platform, he’ll talk about his life, his career and his choice of computers.
The special guest this evening will be Rick LePage, editor-in-chief of Macworld magazine. He’ll discuss plans for the magazine, the Eddy Awards, and next month’s Macworld San Francisco expo.
In The Mac Show’s Tech Tips segment, sponsored by Micromat’s Tech Tool Pro 3, host-producer Shawn King will “talk tech” to his viewers. Or at least he’ll attempt to. Listen at your own risk.
“Mac Mom” Patrice Matteson joins The Mac Show gang for the Mac Basics segment. She’ll offer her perspective on what a beginner should do, see and experience at a Macworld expo.
My MacCentral compadre, Peter Cohen, will talk about what to buy the gamer on your Christmas list. In the Mac Media Pro segment, Mark Stevens will talk with Michael Pace, CEO, founder and senior creative director of EMA Multimedia, and producer of the “Tony Hawk: Inside Out” CD-ROM.
The remaining copies of Office v. X and QuickTime for the Web will be given away. Other prizes to be distributed during the show’s broadcast include T3Hubs from DrBott.com, iClocks from Applelinks.com, copies of the Slick Transitions and Effects from GeeThree.com, hubs and remotes from Keyspan, T-shirts and more. And if you’re interested in going to Macworld San Francisco, you have a shot at winning Pro, User and Exhibit Passes.
You can catch The Mac Show every Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. (Pacific). You can also join the show’s gang in the chat rooms on the World Without Borders site or on the dal.net servers on IRC in the #macshowlive Channel.
