DigitalFilm Tree — a company that offers instruction, consulting, products, and services in the digital video arena — has acquired the Eureka! Final Cut Pro Plug-in software company. All of the software technology and the popular Final Cut Pro Plugins will now be distributed, maintained, and upgraded by DigitalFilm Tree, according to Tim Serda of DigitalFilm.
The Eureka! Plug-ins add various features and functions to Final Cut Pro, including special text generators, new transitions and filters not included with the Apple-made pro digital video editing software package. The existing plug-ins will be updated to support current versions of Final Cut Pro. The software technology of other plug-ins in current development will be revitalized and accelerated, Serda told MacCentral.
DigitalFilm Tree also offers Final Cut Pro and film logic instruction, as well as on and off site digital editing system consulting, software tools and plug-ins for the professional motion picture editor. What’s more, the company’s staff includes two members of the original Final Cut Pro team at Macromedia.
