FileMaker products have been named as finalists for two Codie Awards. The awards are bestowed by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) and designed to “showcase the software and information industry’s finest products and services and honor excellence for corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts.”
FileMaker Mobile for Palm OS — which lets users design mobile databases on their desktop computers, then download the data they need to a handheld computer — is in the running for Best Handheld Application. FileMaker Developer 5.5 — a toolkit for professionals creating custom database solutions for use on the Web, across workgroups or as run-time applications — is a Best Software Development Product finalist. The SIIA 2002 Codie Awards will be presented April 15, 2002 at the SIIA annual conference.
The latest nominations aren’t the first for the database product line from FileMaker. This year FileMaker Pro 5 Unlimited won the Codie Award for Best Numeric/Database Software.
