Pictographics International Corp. has announced the release of iCorrect. Available as a plug-in for Mac imaging applications like Adobe Photoshop, iCorrect enables users to tweak color values in their digital imagery. iCorrect is based on the same technology as is used in iCorrect Professional, which the developer bills as “the closest thing to one-click color.”
iCorrect is different from the integrated color adjustment tools in most graphics applications because it doesn’t use color curves, sliders or variations. Instead, iCorrect encourages the user to click on certain reference colors within the picture, and then performs a global color correction.
The software enables you to make dark colors darker and whites whiter; adjust brightness and contrast, remove unwanted color cast; and correct common reference colors. The software is intended for home consumers and enthusiasts rather than professionals.
iCorrect is available from Pictographics’ Web site. The software costs US$39.95. (iCorrect Professional is also available for $99.)
