Pixion has released PictureTalk Enterprise Conference Server 3.7, an update to its cross-platform solution for conducting meetings and presentations on the Web.
PictureTalk, used for one-to-one communication and for presentations to multiple participants, now offers a presenter the ability to grant control of any application on his or her Mac or PC to any attendee. This feature allows two or more persons to collaborate on changes to a document, a spreadsheet or any application open on the desktop.
A new presentation quality/performance optimizer allows the presenter to choose between the quality of the imagery being presented or increased speed in the broadcasting of the presentation. Presenters can use the Meeting Lock Out feature to “lock” a meeting in progress so that no one else can join. They can even eject an unwanted participant and automatically deny access to rejoin a meeting.
A new PictureTalk Communicator Client gives moderators the ability to grant application sharing, turn on (or off) an attendee’s mouse pointer, turn on (or off) VoIP audio or grant an attendee access to present at a meeting. PictureTalk Enterprise Conference Server 3.7 boasts an enhanced chat feature, which includes a configurable list of pre-authored chat messages so most commonly used phrases can be sent without typing. The PictureTalk client is a free download.
