After designing a variety of carry cases for new Apple hardware systems, the folks at Willow Design have gone retro and introduced the Walmopiztreet Slipcase designed for everyone carrying around the Pismo or Wallstreet PowerBook.
The US$65 Walmo is the first of a new line of Willow slipcases coming, according to Nigel Peck of Willow Design. It features a contoured protective flap, large mesh accessory pocket, zippered organizer pocket and back map or magazine pocket. It weighs only about a pound and a half, but includes luggage feet for the bottom of the slipcase.
“If heavily loaded, the case may not stand upright on its own, but its riveted rubber luggage feet allow you to lean it against items, up off the ground,” Peck said.
He said a new slipcase line for older PowerBooks is being launched due to popular demand. In fact, Peck has a Pismo and his wife has a Wallstreet. Complementing the Walmo is Willow’s more standard two level case, the NL-09: PowerBook G3 case, which fits either the Wallstreet or the Pismo plus accessories up an inch thick.
The Walmopiztreet isn’t included in Willow’s Year End Sale, but purchasers will get half price rates on ground shipping in the US and Canada to the end of the year.
