Jim Walker has released a new version of PrintToPDF, his shareware printer driver that creates Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
PrintToPDF offers Mac users an inexpensive alternative to Adobe’s full Acrobat authoring package. By the developer’s own admission, PrintToPDF is more limited than the full Adobe package, but it’s suitable for creating functional PDF documents.
The new version of PrintToPDF sports the following changes:
Fixed a crash on 68K Macs.
Added support for the outline style.
Fixed a bug that caused text in fonts being imaged as bitmaps to be cut off on the right. This would only have been noticeable in applications that print using fractional widths.
PrintToPDF is distributed as US$20 shareware. System requirements call for a PowerPC-equipped Mac running System 7 or higher.
