Selznick Scientific Software, LLC
has announced the release of PasswordWallet for Mac OS version 2.0. PasswordWallet is a password tracking utility.
The new version of PasswordWallet sports a redesigned interface with a tree view, keyboard shortcuts, and the ability to open more than one PasswordWallet file at a time. Users can also generate random passwords, can cut and paste password entries between files, print files, sort entries, keep notes, import passwords from text files and more.
PasswordWallet 2.0 also features a HotSync Conduit, to enable users of PalmOS-based PDAs to synchronize with the PalmOS version of PasswordWallet. Selznick Scientific Software also indicates that PasswordWallet is now Mac OS X ready (it will work on Mac OS 8.1 or later).
The update to PasswordWallet for Mac OS also coincides with the release of PasswordWallet 1.0 for PalmOS. The software uses the 448-bit blowfish encryption algorithm to safely and securely store passwords on PalmOS-based PDAs. PasswordWallet for PalmOS also features a list view of all passwords, dynamic editing view with a random password generator, and a feature that will automatically lock your passwords when you switch to another app or turn your Palm device off.
PasswordWallet 2.0 for Mac OS is free to all currently registered users. The software costs US$15 to register; multi-user licenses are also available. PasswordWallet for Palm is $12.
