Internet routing software maker Vicomsoft today released updates to its SurfDoubler and Internet Gateway software for the Macintosh. The new versions, both labeled 6.8.3, are ready for download from Vicomsoft’s Web site.
Internet Gateway and SurfDoubler both provide Mac users with a way to share a single Internet connection with others, regardless of whether it’s a dial-up connection, cable modem, DSL line, or other form of hard connection. Internet Gateway is scaled to office, enterprise and school networks while SurfDoubler is scaled towards home users.
Changes in 6.8.3 include:
Both applications carry similar system requirements — a PowerPC-based Mac; System 7.6.1 – 9.x; Open Transport 1.1.1 or later; 6.5MB available RAM; 3MB available hard disk space. Other system requirements may be necessary depending on the configuration, and pricing depends on the configuration. Consult Vicomsoft’s Web site for additional details.
