The folks at Waves in Motion, the Phoenix, AZ-based FileMaker Pro developer, have introduced oAzium Events, a FileMaker Pro database plug-in that adds script scheduling and control to FM Pro solutions.
With oAzium Events, you can trigger FileMaker Pro scripts on schedules, at regular intervals or when the user takes certain actions. You can also schedule the opening and closing of databases. Plus, you can take advantage of an external function interface, integrating every feature of the plug-in into your own solutions.
“Based on our popular Script Scheduler, oAzium Events has been redesigned from the ground up with speed, reliability and flexibility in mind,” Vince Menanno, principal of Waves in Motion, said. “And it’s easier to use than ever: manage multiple schedules of any type with no scripting at all. Just open the Events Manager database and point-and-click your way to automation. You can even customize the Events Manager any way you want.”
You can buy oAzium Events for US$89 the Waves in Motion Web site. Current Script Scheduler users can upgrade for $39. A fully functioning demo version is also available for a test drive.
Script Scheduler lets you trigger any script in any FileMaker project at a scheduled time, at regular intervals, or whenever you exit a particular field. Menanno added that oAzium Events works seamlessly with databases whether local or hosted with FileMaker Server. It’s available for both Mac and Windows operating systems for US $89 from Waves in Motion.
