Server Sentinel 2.0.3 adds enhancements, fixes bugs

Intelli Innovations has released Server Sentinel 2.0.3, the latest version to their server management and downtime notification software. The new update can be downloaded from the company’s Web site.

With Server Sentinel, system and network admins can use their Mac to monitor the behavior of servers on their network. The software can automatically check the status of the server at specified intervals, and can launch pre-scripted actions if the server fails, including e-mailing you, running AppleScripts, opening apps, resetting computers and more.

Server Sentinel 2.0.3 incorporates the following changes:

  • Enhanced POP3 and IMAP server checking – now quits properly to avoid server log errors.
  • Fixed glitch where clicking the menu bar could dismiss the frontmost dialog box.
  • Remove port 0 from the Internet port database – port 0 shouldn’t be used for any server.
  • Added several requested adjustments requested by registered users.

    • Server Sentinel requires a PowerPC-based Mac; Mac OS 8.1 or higher; and 2 to 4MB of active RAM. A single-user license costs US$30, and a free demo of Server Sentinel is also available for download.
