Aladdin updates StuffIt Expander, others to 6.0.1

Aladdin Systems has updated its popular file compression and archival utility StuffIt Deluxe to version 6.0.1. Also getting 6.0.1 updates are StuffIt Expander, the ubiquitous Mac file decompression utility; DropStuff, the file compression utility; and DropZip, Aladdin’s .ZIP format compression utility. All new versions are ready for download from Aladdin Systems’ Web site.

Changes to StuffIt Deluxe 6.0.1 include:

Improvements to Archive Search

Changes to AppleScript support to fix problems and improve features.

Drop Box improvements.

Support for HFS+ in Magic Tools’ GetMoreInfo feature.

Secure Delete no longer treats file aliases as “system files”

StuffIt Browser calculates file sizes under 1MB correctly.

Numerous changes to the StuffIt Deluxe app itself, including support for Gnutar files, Entourage support, and much more.
