ViewSonic Corp. has added two new models to its PerfectFlat line of CRT-based displays. The P225f and the G75f join the PerfectFlat line, which has been developed for professional graphic designers, CAD/CAM users and business professionals who need distortion-free images with uniform color and excellent focus.
The P225f is a 22-inch display (20-inches viewable), while the G75f is a 17-inch display (16-inches viewable). Both monitors feature ViewSonic’s trademark PerfectFlat screen technology, which the company claims offers enhanced picture clarity, edge-to-edge precision and minimal glare.
The P225f sports a .24mm aperture grille uni-pitch, and can display graphics at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels (at 79Hz). The G75f sports a .25mm aperture grille pitch and can display graphics at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels at 69Hz.
Both monitors support OnView, ViewSonic’s on-screen control system. ARAG screen treatment reduces glare, as well. ViewSonic indicated that both displays sport a new base design with an optional USB hub available.
Both displays are expected to be available this month. The P225f carries a suggested retail price of US$999; the G75f costs $335. Look for them from authorized ViewSonic solution providers, distributors and mail order catalogs.
In related news, ViewSonic has also introduced the P225, a 21-inch (20-inch viewable) monitor with similar characteristics to the P225f, without the added cost of ViewSonic’s PerfectFlat technology.
Like the P225f model, the P225 sports a maximum resolution of 2048×1536 at 79Hz, but the P225 sports a .21mm horizontal dot pitch. It also features a BNC connector and a built-in USB hub. ViewSonic indicated that the P225 also features SuperClear screen technology; as well as E-Color’s True Internet Color and Colorific, to help control brightness, color clarity and color reliability.
The P225 is available with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $929.
