The folks at Madsonline have a whole line of products specifically geared to the Titanium PowerBook in the pipline. They’re already taking pre-orders for the various items, which will be released over the next two month, Sales Manager Nigel Shanks told MacCentral.
The first product out the door (and due April 1) is the US$58 MadsonLine G4 Saver, a neoprene carrying bag designed to protect your TiPB from marks and scratches with quarter-inch neoprene protection. Two other products are due to ship April 23. One is the $88 G4 MicroAdapter (Limited Edition), which Shanks said is the “world’s smallest PowerBook AC Adapter” (it weighs five ounces). Its DC cord and connector plug have been designed to work with the new Apple portable. Also due on the 23rd is the $20 G3-to-G4 “Generation Gap” Adapter Converter, which can be used to convert your existing G3 Micro-Adapter to work with the TiPB. (The converter will work with all PowerBook adapters from the PowerBook 1400 through the FireWire PowerBook).
Due for arrival on May 21 are the G4 MicroAdapter and the G4 Auto/Air Adapter. The former is “the world’s smallest PowerBook AC Adapter” redesigned for the TiPB (this model comes with MadsonLine’s space-saving L-shape plug).
The latter is an EmPower plug adapter that lets you connect your PowerBook to a standard car cigarette lighter or the EmPower socket in your airline seat. It, too, has been redesigned for the PowerBook G4 with MadsonLine’s space saving right-angled power plug. Plus, the tansformer integrated into the barrel of the adapter to reduce size. The G4 MicroAdapter is $88; the G4 Auto/Air Adapter is $75. If you just need an airline adapter, Madsonline plans to release a $39 G4 EmPower Airline Adapter, which will offer a straight cable from an EmPower Airline socket to TiPB on May 28.
