QuickConference returns home to CE Software

CE Software has bought QuickConference, the instant messaging software for Mac and Windows Networks. This brings everything full circle as the product was available first from CE Software, then was sold to the Prairie Group.

QuickConference allows people in an office environment to communicate instantly over a TCP/IP network. It works over the industry standard protocol TCP/IP. While designed to be utilized on a network without the need of an Internet connection like some other products, QuickConference can also leverage the power of the Internet if your network has a full time connection to it. QuickConference features include:

A user list that automatically provides a list of people within the company who can receive messages

Time and Date stamps on messages sent and received

A transcript log that keep records of conversations for archiving

URL Support that lets you share Web site addresses and launch to them from the application

The ability to switch to e-mail by clicking a user’s e-mail address

Audio and visual notification that lets you know instantly know when a conference message is received

The ability to automatically send custom reply messages stating an unavailable status
