iView PhotoMover, a US$15 utility from iView Multimedia for sharing photos online, has been updated to version 2.0, which includes a Mac OS X version.
The update also adds support for Select albums for the Club Photo and FotoTime Web sites, as well as AppleScript support for both products and other new AppleScript samples. iView PhotoMover provides Mac users with a method of uploading photos directly to some of the top photo archive sties on the net, including Zing, Sony ImagaeStation, Nikon.Net, and PhotoPoint.
To use PhotoMover, you can drag and drop images onto it to upload them to a photo Web site. Or you can catalog all your photos with iView MediaPro, then select images in iView MediaPro, and choose PhotoMover as the helper application to upload directly from an open catalog directly to your photo website of choice.
iView MediaPro is a media management software for both Mac OS 9 and OS X. It lets you manage, organize, find, view, play, print, and convert various types of media files on your computer. It’s the only media browser capable of full PDF and EPS rendering, according to the folks at iView Multimedia.
Other import formats include HTML, Quark, Canvas, Painter, Live Picture, Freehand, PageMaker, Illustrator, GIF, JPG, TIFF, PICT, GX, BMP, Targa, EPS, fonts, sounds, movies, QuickTime VR, animation, MPEG, PNG, Photoshop, MIDI, karaoke, Electric Image, Electronic Arts, CorelDraw, ClarisWorks, AppleWorks and more.
You can use MediaPro to create a slideshow that can play music and have up to 16 photos or movies onscreen simultaneously. It’s targeted to digital camera users, Photoshop users, artists, and desktop publishers. Or you can use it to create catalogs with up to 32,000 files.
