Apple has revamped its
Science and Technology site
with a new design, lots of new content, and a new physical science section.
The SciTech site focuses on the Mac in the science and technology field. The site’s goal is to show how Apple technologies can help advance research in a lab, office or clinic.
It looks at research tools and lists conference and events. Examples of how scientists from different disciplines are using Macintosh in their own work are included in “Solutions at Work” articles throughout the site.
The SciTech site has sections on:
Scientific Imaging that showcases “outstanding imaging products for research, medicine, and dentistry” that run on the Mac platform;
Life Sciences, which looks at Mac compatible “world class” tools for genomic, proteomic and chemistry research;
Physical Science, which rounds up third-party compilers and visualization and imaging tools that make the Mac a “premiere analysis tool and digital hub” for the physical scientist;
Research Tools, which is a source of info for technologies for collecting and analyzing data and publishing results.
Not surprisingly, there’s lots of Mac OS X information on the site.
