LogotypeMaker, which is designed to typeset a text string using all of a user’s activated fonts, has just been updated to version 2.2.1.
The update, from Blue Line Studios, adds a text size popup button in the slide show prep dialog and a rapid advance function in the slide show window, according to MacTech magazine. Pressing the “Auto-Play” button will now immediately go to the next frame. There are also bug fixes. You can download the update at the Blue Line Web site.
LogotypeMaker is designed to help graphics professionals decide on what typefaces are appropriate when creating a logotype. The software supports the ability to save a PostScript file that can then be opened in Illustrator of Freehand.
System requirements include a PowerPC-equipped Mac, 12MB RAM and System 7 through Mac OS 9. Blue Line Studios offers a working demo that expires after 24 uses. The demo can be unlocked by paying the US$25 registration fee; upgrades from version 1.x are also available for $10.
