St. Clair Software has released version 2.3.3 of their screen snapshot utility, Screen Catcher. While a recent revision of Screen Catcher delivered improved compatibility with Kensington MouseWorks 5.6, it introduced problems for users of earlier versions of MouseWorks.
Screen Catcher 2.3.3 corrects those problems, and has been tested successfully with both current and past versions of Kensington’s software, according to the folks at St. Clair. The update can be nabbed online at the company’s download site.
Screen Capture enables users to capture screenshots. Although this functionality is included in the core operating system, Screen Catcher has a variety of attributes that make it unique: It supports scripting, it features a “Catch-All” feature which auto-scrolls windows; sports flexible scaling and color palette control.
Screen Catcher 2.3.3 requires a color-capable Mac running System 7 or higher. The software is distributed as shareware and carries a US$25 registration fee. Upgrades from previous versions are free.
