Yesterday we reported that RealMac Software had released Button Builder 1.5, a US $10 shareware tool for building buttons for Web sites and multimedia projects, for Mac OS 8, 9 and Mac OS X.
There’s also a free alternative to Button Builder available from Micahsoft. Button Maker, written in REALbasic, lets you create several types of buttons, including Mac OS X Aqua buttons, and gives you the ability to export in JPEG or PICT format. GIF format is coming soon.
“Button Maker does the exact same thing Button Builder does, and has lots of options,” Bruce Anderson, a Button Maker user and fan, told MacCentral. “You can make not just Aqua buttons, but Classic buttons, Be buttons, NeXT buttons, and more.”
MicahSoft makes a variety of REALbasic-derived utilities and applications for the Macintosh.
