The Internet’s largest Macintosh icon design contest, Pixelpalooza, has finished accepting submissions for this year’s contest. The folks at The Iconfactory, who are conducting the contest, thank “all the individuals who entered their creative talents this year in each of the four submission categories.”
Pixelpalooza 2001 garnered over 125 entries from 26 countries worldwide. The contest has four categories: 3D, Illustrative, System Replacement and new this year, OS X.
With the submission deadline passed, internal judging of contest submissions, as well as the public vote, the People’s Choice Award, starts. Visitors to the Iconfactory site can vote for their favorite icon sets in each category now through Feb. 12. Winners of the Grand Prize, Runner-Up, and People’s Choice Awards will be announced on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
