Popular children’s game publisher Humongous Entertainment has announced a new game based on its popular Spy Fox franchise. The new title, Spy Fox: Operation Ozone, is due in stores this May.
Spy Fox: Operation Ozone is part of Humongous’ “Junior Adventures” series, designed for kids ages 5 to 10. The game puts players in control of suave secret agent Spy Fox as he strives to protect the Earth’s ozone layer from environmental destruction at the hands of an ominous aerosol can.
Spy Fox has a variety of special spy gadgets and a crack team of spy assistants to help him on his quest and he goes head-to-head against Poodles Galore, the Queen of Cosmetics. Poodles Galore has a twisted plan for world domination. She’ll make everyone on earth buy her SPF 2001 sunblock. Poodles has launched an enormous hairspray space station into orbit around the Earth and set it off — the blast of aerosol threatens to deplete the planet’s ozone layer within hours, unless Spy Fox can thwart Poodles’ plans.
Spy Fox: Operation Ozone is the third title in the Spy Fox series. The games parody popular spy movies and television shows while providing kids with hours of adventure gaming fun. Tuxedo-clad Spy Fox is ever smooth and sophisticated; he’s joined by inventive Professor Quack, who equips Spy Fox with his gadgets, and his assistant Monkey Penny, who plies Spy Fox with info needed to solve the case.
The game is expected to be released on hybrid CD-ROM for both Mac OS and Windows machines this May. It’ll be carried wherever kids’ entertainment software is sold. It will carry a suggested retail price of US$24.99.
