Kids game publisher Humongous Entertainment has announced that a new Freddi Fish game will be released this June. Called “Freddi Fish and the Case of the Creature of Coral Cove,” the game invites kids back to the world of slippery sleuth Freddi Fish and her pal Luther as they try to solve another underwater mystery.
Part of Humongous’ enormously popular “Junior Adventure” game series, this is the fifth Freddi Fish adventure game title. It’s developed for kids ages 3 to 8 years old. The adventure game sports plenty of puzzles and mini-games to help keep young players interested and entertained as they solve the mystery that Freddi and Luther are investigating.
Freddi Fish and the Case of the Creature of Coral Cove places Freddi and Luther on the way to the grand opening of Coral Cove Park, a beautiful coral reef. The opening is foiled by sightings of a large, mysterious sea monster, and it’s up to Freddi and Luther to find out what’s going on. Kids use deductive reasoning to help Freddi and Luther discover the truth behind the Creature.
Anticipated for a June 2001 release, Freddi Fish and the Case of the Creature of Coral Cove will be released on hybrid CD-ROM for both Mac and PC. The game carries a suggested retail price of US$19.99.
Humongous Entertainment was established in 1992 and is owned by Infogrames Inc. — the same company that owns popular Mac game publisher MacSoft. Humongous publishes adventure, puzzle and sports games especially designed for the younger set. The company’s other properties include games based on the enormously popular Nick Jr. franchise, Blue’s Clues, as well as popular characters like Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, and Spy Fox (who’s starring in a recently announced new game due out in May).
