RIQ Technologies has introduced a new Web site/technology combo, QuickModules.com, that the company claims will “radically simplify” Web application development.
QuickModules.com is a Web site dedicated to providing rapid online application development and hosting services. Customers can build their database-enabled Web applications online and purportedly without any programming using RIQ’s Rapid Module Development technology. Within minutes, applications will be up and running with full database support and completely hosted on our servers, the company claims.
“QuickModules is not particular to any platform,” Ramzi Baroody of RIQ told MacCentral. “It is a regular Web site that can be accessed using any Web browser that supports HTML 1.1, which is standard. All the processing power of QuickModules work on the server itself, and the results are displayed in the browser.”
He said that you could use QuickModules.com to build a Web application in any browser/platform. The resulting app can run off QuickModules.com in any browser on any platform, Baroody added.
The RIQ servers will host your data, and QuickModule.com users will have access to the data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world using a Web browser. You can enter data, browse and search, perform analytic queries, and generate reports and graphs through your Web browser. You’ll be able to link to your data directly from your own Web site to display data entry screens, reports, and charts directly on your Web pages.
What’s more, the folks at RIQ say that QuickModules.com is a “true and unique” application service provider (ASP) that gives you the ability to build application modules that are fully integrated with your data quickly and with no programming.
