SCM Microsystems plans to use next week’s PMA 2001 trade Show in Orlando, Fla. to show off products from its subsidiaries Microtech and Dazzle. The products are designed to assist customers with digital imaging needs.
Microtech manufactures digital connectivity solutions. The company’s product line includes USB and FireWire peripherals including floppy disk drives, digital media card readers, and SCSI conversion interfaces. The company also sells media cards and memory upgrades.
Dazzle makes digital video editing and publishing products, including the Hollywood DV-Bridge, a FireWire-based analog/digital video conversion product designed for the Mac. The Hollywood DV-Bridge enables users of Macs equipped with FireWire to convert video from non-digital sources, like VCRs, analog camcorders, or any other source that supports composite video or S-Video interfaces.
SCM Executive Vice President Brian Campbell said that his company’s goal is to make it easier for people to download, edit and publish digital content.
“With our Dazzle and Microtech brands, SCM addresses two major components of the digital imaging market,” said Campbell. “We’re excited to be debuting these brands as complimentary solutions at PMA, the nation’s largest show for digital imaging technology and products.”
PMA 2001 is the Photo Marketing Association’s 77th annual convention and trade show. PMA 2001 takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. from February 11th to the 14th. SCM Microsystems will be exhibiting in booth 3785.
