Silverlining Pro 6.4 adds OS 9.1 compatibility, more

LaCie has updated its disk utility and formatting software, Silverlining Pro, to version 6.4. The new version is available for download from LaCie’s Web site.

The new version of Silverlining Pro makes the following changes:

Mac OS 9.1 compliant

Provides latest firmware update for LaCie USB and FireWire drive

Better handling of ATA, SCSI, FireWire and USB disk drives

Reliable password protection

FireWire booting on selected Macs with built-in FireWire ports

Better plug and play USB/FireWire operations;

Optional 64KB block size capability for HFS+ partitions;

Improved compatibility with Macs running System 7.5.3 to Mac OS 9.1

Silverlining Pro is designed to support both Apple and third-party hard disk drives, including LaCie’s own brand of drives. Silverlining Pro 6.4 carries a suggested retail price of US$49.
