Jolene Oldham has seen a rash of Mac sightings lately: an iBook (in cartoon form) in a Bluefly.com magazine ad, an iBook in the Verizon Wireless “Guess who I’m sitting next to?” ad, and an iMac (again, in cartoon form) in a Hotwire.com ad.

Brian Blank has seen quite a few ads of late from high profile companies that “covertly” use Mac graphics to showcase their Web sites, including Wal-Greens (its one-hour photo service), CNN/Folio.com, Telocity, and Texas Instruments.
“It’s always interesting to me when people rave about Windows, yet are in a state of denial when it comes to recognizing how prominent Mac graphics are on the Web and how disproportionately they are featured in advertising when companies really need to make their graphics appealing to potential customers,” Blank said.
