Codenautics has released a new version of Meshwork, the 3D triangle mesh modeling program for Mac OS. The new version is ready to download from links on Codenautics’ Web site, and the software’s developer encourages all Meshworks 1.7 users to upgrade to the new version.
Meshworks enables Macintosh designers to create low-polygon count 3D models, especially well suited for games and Web delivery. The software supports various import and export file formats, including DXF and optimized 3DMF, POV-Ray, VRML, models for OpenGL applications, and more.
Meshwork 1.7.1 “fixes a nasty bug,” according to the release note documentation, in the 1.7 version which caused Meshwork files to become corrupted. Again, the developer recommends all 1.7 users to upgrade immediately to 1.7.1.
Meshwork is distributed as a shareware application. Users who use Meshworks for longer than 30 days are required to pay a US$30 registration fee.
