Power On bills Rewind as “continuous protection for your Mac.” It’s backup software that works by enabling users to restore previous versions of documents, applications, systems, or entire disks. The software keeps track of what’s changing on the Mac continuously, rather than working through individual backup archives like conventional backup software.
Now Up-To-Date & Contact is the popular personal information management tool for the Mac. The software enables users to track contacts, schedule appointments and perform various other tasks as well. It’s compatible with Palm OS-based PDAs and also includes Web Publisher, which enables users to post their calendars to the Internet and share them with others, if desired.
Action Utilities is a collection of enhancements for the Mac OS that Power On bills as the successor to Now Utilities. The package includes Action Files, which adds features to the Open and Save dialog boxes in Mac applications; Action Menus, which automatically creates new menus containing useful destinations; Action GoMac, which adds a “task bar” containing instant access to commonly used applications, documents, Web sites and more; and Action WYSIWYG, which groups fonts by family and enables users to see the typeface right in the font menu.
Rewind and Now Up-To-Date & Contact retail for $89.95. The electronic version of Action Utilities is made available to users who take advantage of this offer, and that package usually costs $79.95.
“This special offer is available for a limited time only and may be withdrawn as soon as we can replace our marketing team,” joked Power On Software in a press release.
