As of Wednesday night, Apple is now offering six configurations of Power Mac G4 systems, including a dual-processor 533MHz system and a ‘Special Offer’ high-end configuration with CD-RW in place of the SuperDrive.
The six configurations (see photo below), range from 466Mhz to 733MHz, and in price from US$1,699 to $3,499, respectively. The availability of the multi-processor machine is somewhat in line with the original estimates by Apple that dual-processor G4 systems would be available for purchase in mid-February.

In addition, users can custom build a system with the just-announced Nvidia GeForce 3 graphics card in place of the ATI Rage 128 Pro, for an additional $450. Apple is also recommending buyers purchase additional 64MB of graphics RAM if the decide to purchase the GeForce 3 for an additional $350. The 64MB AGP GeForce3 is also separately for $600. The GeForce 3 card will not ship until April at the earliest.
The G4 systems can be purchased through the online Apple Store, or through independent catalog houses or Apple Specialist retailers.
