Apple adds AppleWorks 6 to Cube bundle

In an effort to increase its value and sell more of the lower-priced and new 500MHz G4 Cubes, Apple has added AppleWorks 6 to the Cube software bundle.

The popular multifunctional program will be shipping with all three G4 Cube configurations that are currently coming off production lines. Along with AppleWorks, the Cube will include Mac OS 9; iMovie 2; iTunes; QuickTime 4; Palm Desktop; FAXstf; Bugdom; Nanosaur; CroMag Rally; Netscape Communicator; Microsoft Internet Explorer; Microsoft Outlook Express; and 30 days of free Internet service through EarthLink.

Many dealers contacted by MacCentral see the addition as an added effort by Apple to make the Cube more ‘consumer-like’ and equal in value to potential iMac buyers who want many of the software solutions an iMac possess, but in a faster product.
