Lemke Software has released a new version of GraphicConverter, the popular shareware image editing software. The new version can be downloaded from links on Lemke Software’s Web site.
GraphicConverter enables users to convert pictures to different formats, and provides many commonly used picture manipulation functions as well. The software can perform batch conversions, is AppleScriptable, and supports 145 different graphic formats.
The new version of GraphicConverter, 4.0.4, sports too many changes to list here, but major differences include:
CMYK to RGB conversion much improved for TIFF, JPEG and Photoshop import
ColorSync profile import from JPEG and Photoshop files added
merge option to IPTC change in the browser added
segmented printing support on more than one page added
autolevel AppleScript support added
smart trim option to print added
VOXEL import improved
Photoshop plug-in support improved
GraphicConverter is distributed as shareware. The fee depends on what country you register it from; for European countries excluding Germany, it’s US$30, for the rest of the world it’s $35. Please visit the GraphicConverter Web site for more details.
GraphicConverter requires a 68020-equipped Mac or faster (or a PowerPC-equipped Mac or compatible); System 7 or higher; and 3MB of free RAM (8MB for a Power Mac).
