Apple has posted Disc Burner 1.01. The update adds support for additional third-party CD recorders.
Disc Burner is the Apple software that enables users of CD-R drives to master CDs using desktop icons, rather than having to rely on a separate application interface. The software was first unveiled at Macworld Expo in San Francisco last month. Disc Burner’s initial release only supported the new CD-RWs and DVD-R drives available in Apple’s new Power Mac G4 and iMac lines.
Disc Burner 1.0.1 provides added support for various third-party CD-R drives, making it possible for users of older Macs to have the same functionality.
The update supports the following CD recorders:
LG (CD-RW CED-8042B)
Matshita (CD-RW CW-7121, CD-RW CW-7586, UJDA310) Mitsumi (CR-4802TE, CR-4804TE)
