Media 100 has updated the software for their Media 100 i digital video editing solution for the Macintosh. The new version, 7.0.2, is ready for download from Media 100’s FTP site.
Media 100 i is a combination of hardware and software that turns a Power Mac G4 into a streaming media production system. Available in a variety of configurations, the Media 100 i system is offered specifically to provide interactive streaming content for Web site production.
The new version of Media 100i consists of three separate components: version 7.0.2 Update for Media 100 i; Media 100 Test Diagnostic version 02.20.2001; and Version 5.0.2 Update for Cleaner 5.
The new software update for Media 100 i provides support for all approved Power Mac G4 computers with 5 slot configurations — the new Power Macs first unveiled at last month’s Macworld Expo in San Francisco. The software allows the use of RealTimeFX hardware in those systems.
Other changes include the resolution of the gray-line problem that has appeared on the video monitors of some systems when mastering to tape; adds new functionality and support for AppleScript; fixes software problems, and more.
In order to use this update you’ll need to have a 7.0 version of Media 100 i already installed, along with Mac OS 9.x; and QuickTime 4.1.2.
