Radialogic Software has announced it has sold its core technologies which are part of its two most popular products, Storage Master and CD Master, but that it could not disclose the new owner at present.
“The core technologies in those products have been acquired by another company to be exclusively included in their own products,” a company statement said. “Because of the confidential nature of this transaction, we cannot disclose who the new owner is, though we are certain that this transition will be a good one for our customers. More information will become available early [this] year.”
CD Master is a CD authoring application for the Mac, while Storage Master is a mass storage driver and formatting utility, which works with FireWire, USB, SCSI, PowerBook expansion modules and IDE/ATA.
The company said it stopped selling the two products as of December 31st, 2000, but will continue to provide e-mail based technical support for the products until March 30th.
The sale of the two products in no way affects Chaos Master and NetWare for Macintosh, which the company said it would “continue to sell, improve, and support.”
Radialogic Software was not immediately available for further comment.
Radialogic Software is owned by Prosoft Engineering Inc. and is based in Pleasanton, CA.
