Charismac Engineering Inc. will demonstrate Discribe v4.0, the latest version of its Macintosh CD mastering software from booth 4127 at Macworld Expo in San Francisco next week.
Discribe allows users to burn CDs in a variety of formats including HFS, ISO-9660, hybrid and audio in both track-at-once and disc-at-once mode. Version 4.0 allows users to drag and drop MP3 files over the Discribe interface for creating audio compilation CDs.
Charismac has added AudioScribe V2.0 to the Discribe bundle as well to provide users with a number of CD burning tools to work with. AudioScribe is a direct-to-disk recording utility that allows you to record vinyl, tape or voice to hard disk, and eventually to CD with Discribe. Discribe allows immediate viewing of newly mastered CDs on any CD-RW drive.
Charismac will be demonstrating Discribe 4.0 every half-hour at its booth during show hours as well as distributing free Discribe evaluation CDs.
In addition, there will also be a sneak preview of Charismac’s new back up software utility Backup Mastery, and demonstrations of the new FireWire versions of Charismac’s Anubis disk drive formatting utility and Charismac RAID, a software-based striping and mirroring utility.
