Hockey star Marian Hossa of the Ottawa Senators was recently shown in uniform and using a PowerBook in an Ottawa Citizen photograph. Called “the most wired player on the team,” Hossa carries an Apple laptop on the road. (Thanks to Gérald R. Lacelle for the heads-up on this goodie.)
Meanwhile, on Jan. 15, James Lipton on Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio” asked Mike Myers of “Saturday Night Live” and “Austin Powers” fame, what he wrote with. His one word reply: “Macintosh.”
Finally, Dark Horse Comics (publisher of comics like Star Wars, Aliens, The Mask, Sin City, etc.) is a Mac company with a Mac on every desk.
“Web server? Mac. Mail server? Mac. Design work and color separations? Done on Macs,” said a source who asked to remain nameless. “Ninety-nine percent of the computers are Macs.”
(If you’ve sent us an item for our Famous People column, please be patient. It will appear, but we’ve been swamped with entries. If you know of a famous person using the Mac, send it to Yours Truly at dsellers@maccentral.com. If you want credit for your “Mac spotting,” be sure to include your full name.)
