Yesterday we reported that Macs had a big presence at January’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan. It seems that a Jan. 13-21 auto show in Belgium also saw a good showing by our favorite computer platform.
“We used 23 iMacs at the Opel (GM) booth, and four iMacs at Ford, as well,” Peter Correwyn of Correwyn Consulting, told MacCentral. “I was the lucky guy responsible for the network.”
A Windows NT intranet server was used and an ADSL connection. There were 20 iMacs on the show floor and another three in the VIP launch.
“I hate NT but the application, Car Configurator, was entirely developed on NT, so I had no choice,” Correwyn said. “As expected, there were no problems with the iMacs and a few crashes on the NT.”
