If you’ve tried to log onto Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit (MacBU) Web site — or, heck, any other MS Web site — you may have noticed that you couldn’t access them.
The company is having a problem with its domain name servers (DNS). All day long URLs such as www.microsoft.com, msn.com, expedia.co.uk and msnbc.com have been unavailable, as is the Hotmail service. Karen Sung, spokesperson for the MacBU, told MacCentral that it’s a temporary problem that’s being worked on now.
“The problem began late last night,” she said. “However, it’s not a security issue or hacker situation. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.”
