Apple has released a new version of its QuickTime Streaming Server. The software enables Macs running Mac OS X to deliver stored and live multimedia streaming services to Macs and PCs with QuickTime 4.0 or higher installed.
The new version of QuickTime Streaming Server, 3.0p2, offers new “under the hood” features, including:
QuickTime Streaming Server is designed to be run on a Mac operating Mac OS X. The software remains open source, and Apple encourages the development community to continue modifying and tweaking it to their own specifications.
