Connectix re-releases VirtualPC 4.0.1

Emulation software maker Connectix Corp. today re-released its update to VirtualPC 4.0.1. The new version can be downloaded now from Connectix’s Web site, and is available in English, German and Japanese language versions. The original 4.0.1 updater was originally posted to Connectix’s Web site last week but was pulled from circulation on Friday.

VirtualPC 4.0.1 addresses the following problems:

Resolved a problem that resulted in an “object variable not set error”.

Fixed an integer rounding bug in Microsoft Excel.

Incorporated fixes for Java JIT compilers.

Fixed an issue with Novell Netware login and connections using Shared IP.

The warning dialog for low Mac hard drive space now displays correctly.

Connectix cites one known compatibility issue between VirtualPC 4.x and Mac OS 9.1: Users who attempt to print using a direct serial printer and Epson emulation may find black and white bands across the page. Please consult the VirtualPC 4.x Read Me file for more information.
