has updated Textbook Tracker, a Mac OS X compatible textbook management program, to version 3.0.
Textbook Tracker scans barcodes to keep track of books in school systems. Version 3.0 adds a Textbook Tracker WEB feature that lets patrons view account info from any Web browser. There’s an all-new interface, auto-archiving ability, instant update feature, integrated word processor, more reporting capabilities, and built-in server and Web server software. Planned for the next version of Textbook Tracker is the ability to track textbook surpluses in other schools, Dixon Day of COMPanion told MacCentral.
The 3.0 upgrade is free to customers who are current on their support subscription. Customers that aren’t current can upgrade for US$799. For new users the cost is $1,459 for a single user license and $2,495 for a multi-station license.
