Qualcomm Inc. has released Eudora 5.2.1, an update to their Macintosh e-mail client with separate versions available for “Classic” Mac OS and Mac OS X.
The new update adds dozens of fixes to the venerable software, whose roots can be traced back to a freeware application developed on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It’s now a commercial application with a host of added capabilities, available in “Sponsored,” “Paid” or “Light” license modes.
The number of fixes and changes in Eudora 5.2.1 are too long to list here, but specific work was done to correct crashing problems, hangs, work arounds for outstanding issues, and many other changes. You can view the release notes yourself by visiting the Eudora Web site at the link above.
The links, available for Mac OS 8.6 – 9.x and Mac OS X and higher, measure 3.9MB and 3.7Mb respectively.
