The forthcoming Monterey, Calif. AppleScript Pro Sessions seminar has added noted AppleScript reference guide author Ethan Wilde to its list of speakers. A bonus session has also been added to the roster. Wilde’s “AppleScript for Applications: Visual QuickStart Guide” will be provided to attendees on the first day of the session.
The five-day series kicks off in June, and provides neophytes through experts with training in AppleScript, the automation technology built-in to Mac OS and supported by many Mac software applications.
While the first day of the sessions introduces AppleScript itself, subsequent days look at scripting real-world applications including InDesign, Photoshop, FileMaker Pro, Acrobat, BBEdit, even the Finder. AppleScript changes for Jaguar are covered, as is AppleScript Studio. The new bonus session added to the schedule involves scripting MultiAd Creator, the desktop publishing software developed specifically for ad production.
Early bird pricing is available until May 1, 2003 for US$400 per day, and discount packages are available for attending three days or more. AppleScript Pro Sessions happens at the Casa Munras Hotel in downtown Monterey. More details about accommodations and other information is available from the Web site.
